North Iowa's Pheasant Haven is a family owned and family run business. Marv and Mary Stupka are the founders and owners of Pheasant Haven. Marv, an avid hunter and fisher, runs the preserve with the help of his wife, two sons, son-in-law and their families. Mary, his wife, and Mike, his youngest son, are the chefs behind the scenes. Together they have developed some zesty soups and sandwiches for the hunters to enjoy at meal time, not to mention some mouth watering desserts. Mike has also been instrumental in the decor of the lodge. Mark, Marv's oldest son, is involved in the building and continued maintenance of the preserve as well as guiding and dog handling. Brad, Marv's son in law and creator of this web site, is also a guide as well as a dog handler/trainer. Wayne, Marv's brother, has started raising both pheasants and turkeys for the preserve.

Our family is a tight knit family. Not only do we have a common bond around hunting, we also have another bond that is very strong among us. That is our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We would like to share that faith with you...

We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. He is the only documented man that has healed the sick, made the blind to see, brought the dead back to life plus many other miracles.

We believe that Jesus lived a life without sin in complete obedience to his father, God.

We believe that Man was created in innocence by God but voluntarily disobeyed and fell into sin and as a consequence all mankind are sinners by choice and therefore are condemned/sentenced to an eternity in hell.

We believe that to be rescued from an eternity in hell God sent Jesus Christ, who freely became a man, yet without sin), and died a punishing death in our place to release us from our death sentence of an eternity in hell and our slavery to sin. The just dying for the unjust.

We believe that a person must acknowledge his sin, acknowledge Jesus as God's son, acknowledge He died in your place and then call on the name of Jesus Christ and voluntarily choose to let him take control of your life.

We believe that when you do this you are justified before God and are given the free gift of eternal life in Heaven, and the power to live an obedient life to God through the strength of the Holy Spirit.
